From time to time stepwgn.com receives requests from overseas Stepwagon owners for assistance in obtaining owners' handbooks (user manuals) in English. The bad news is that
as the Stepwagon was built for the Japanese home market only, English manuals are not available. The good news is that manuals for most Stepwagons are available on line at Honda's Japanese home
page, and with the use of free online translation services, a (very rough) English translation may be obtained. We don't know if all the handbooks are as comprehensive as the original
paper versions supplied with new vans, but the online version for my 2004 van is almost identical to my original manual.
There's a list of links to Honda's online Stepwagon manuals lower down this page.
It's necessary to set up your web browser to read Japanese characters in order to view the pages. This is pretty much automatic with Windows Internet Explorer in Windows XP - just follow
the on-screen instructions. We've successfully used the Google.com Language Tools service to translate the Japanese pages. Like all online translation services it is very approximate at best, and comes up with
some wierd sentences, but it is online, fast and free. For more information, please click
here.
Please note that some of the links on this page will open a new "pop-up" window. Some internet security systems restrict pop-ups. Please allow pop-ups if asked, or please disable anti-pop-up guards if necessary.
